Strip steels for cans

Q2: Annual usage

  2 of 8

Question How many steel cans used for soft drinks and beer do you thinks are made from steel in the UK per year?

Red cross 0 - 1 billion- - Whilst one billion seems like an incredibly large number there are about 55 million people living in the UK and they would only need to drink 19 cans of soft drink or beer (in a steel can) to give a total number of one billion. The actual number is quite a lot more, try again.

Red cross 1 - 3 billion - To reach a number of three billion everyone in the UK would need to drink about 55 cans of soft drink or beer (in a steel can) during one year. That's not far off the right number but its still a bit higher.

Green tick 3 - 5 billion - Correct, on average one person drinks about 80 cans of soft drink or beer (in a steel can) during one year. giving an overall figure of 3.5 billion cans.

Red cross 5 - 7 billion - - I'm afraid that you have over estimated how many steel cans are used by a little, Try again.

Red cross 7 - 10 billion - I'm afraid that you have over estimated how many steel cans are used by a little, Try again.

Red cross Greater than 700 MPa - I'm afraid that you are well off with this selection. Try again.
