Use the ratio technique to index the
pattern. You will need a ruler to measure the distance between spots.
Use the table
of ratios for the appropriate crystal structure (fcc or bcc) to identify the
diffracting planes.
Now determine the zone axis by calculating the vector product of any two spots.
